KEP Phuket Restaurant IN Chalong has decided to pay an amazing tribute to a legendary singer by the name of Whitney Houston. Now we all know Whitney Houston was one of the most famous American singers and actresses with her legendary hit “Im Every Woman” and “I Will Always Love You” are just some of her most amazing hit songs of the past and modern decade.
Houston played such a big role in the music and film industry that her legacy will continue to live on even overseas. Mrs. Houston has become an icon, and with that being said KEP Phuket restaurant has hosted a special and amazing tribute event dedicated to the queen. Houston the iconic American singer, who passed away tragically in 2012, left behind a towering legacy in popular music that stretches across all borders and cultures.
Despite being halfway around the world from Houston’s Newark, New Jersey roots showed at every performance that she has had in her career from the national anthem to headlining her very own world tours. At KEP they have showcased how her incredible voice and hits like “I Will Always Love You” and “How Will I Know” remain beloved internationally amongst many of her fans.
Once the opening tribute was finished we started to get ready for our ultimate and beautiful tribute to Houston with our amazing singer. the sold-out crowd was treated to renditions of Whitney’s greatest hits this meant all of Houston’s most famous songs were performed by the amazing Thai artist. The vocalists dazzled with flawless live bands covering fan favorites like “I Wanna Dance With Somebody,” “Saving All My Love For You,” and “Greatest Love of All.” Between the performance sets, the hostess shared facts about Houston’s ground-breaking career and how she paved the way for future generations of legendary female artists across all genres.
The centerpiece performance came from the hit movie “The Bodyguard”. The singer brought the audience to tears with her soulful delivery of “I Have Nothing” in an emotional tribute to the singer’s iconic role in the hit 1992 film. Which is one of Houston’s most famous songs ever on the top 100 to this day.
The night closed with the entire crowd singing and dancing along to the anthemic “I’m Every Woman” while everyone enjoyed the live music and drinks and also the open-air restaurant’s seaside stage. It was a prime example of how Houston’s transcendent artistry and spirit continue to inspire people from all walks of life and cultures around the globe. And how it will continue to move hearts and move emotionally around the globe every year.
While nothing could truly replicate seeing Whitney Houston perform live, the KEP Phuket Restaurant succeeded in honoring her incredible impeccable three-decade career with a celebratory and heartfelt musical homage that made it feel like she lived on through each note and lyric shared that special night. Everyone enjoyed the night and everyone was amazed by the beautiful singer who graced the stage and sang all of Houston’s songs in the special tribute to her, dedicated to her on her birthday, which had just passed on February 11, 2024.
